In the afternoon of October 9th, the business school held the finals of the 16th English Speech Contest of Henan University in the auditorium of 109. Lv Yingjian, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business, Wang Meng, deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee and a counselor of 2018, Zheng Linhao, a counselor of 2017, and Shi Zhaoming, a counselor of 2020 are judges of the competition. After the preliminary contest, there were ten contestants in the final.

First of all, the host introduced the relevant rules and procedures of the competition. The competition was divided into two parts: keynote speech and impromptu question and answer. Centering on the theme of "Challenge to All", the contestants talked about the challenges in their life with fluent oral English and careful thinking combined with their own experiences. Their intonation and profound content won warm applause from the audience. In the impromptu question-and-answer session, in the face of the judges' questions, the contestants calmly responded to the unanimous praise of the judges.

After intense competition, contestants Liu Jiayi, Liu Yiquan and Fang Ming won the first prize, contestants Zhai Yongjie and Lu Zirui won the second prize, contestants Ma Erwu, He Dan, Wang Shiyu, Xiang Yuting and Dou Wanting won the third prize, and those who won the first and second prizes will participate in the school level competition on behalf of the college. At last, the judges presented awards to the winners and the competition ended in warm applause from the students.
