On the afternoon of November 18, Professor Dai Tianjing, doctoral supervisor of University of international business and economics, was invited to give an academic lecture entitled "Application of case study method in accounting research" in Conference Room 201 of business school. Some business school teachers and graduate students participated in the lecture, which was presided over by Associate Professor Dong Zhankui.

On behalf of all the teachers and students of the business school, Dong Zhankui extended a warm welcome to Professor Dai Tianjing and briefly introduced his research fields and academic achievements.

Dai Tianjing first described the differences between case study and other types of research, and pointed out that the focus of case study is difference and uniqueness. When describing the investigation methods of case study, she stressed that we should pay attention to the authenticity and diversity of case materials, and obtain as much data as possible from multiple channels and aspects, so as to improve the credibility and universality of the data. Then, taking a research paper as an example, she stressed that case study should attach importance to the theoretical basis and framework, and introduced relevant professional theories. According to the shortcomings of this paper in case study, she proposed specific solutions to help teachers and students master and understand relevant theories. Finally, the lecture entered the question asking session, and the students were enthusiastic to ask questions. Dai Tianjing also gave detailed and professional answers one by one.

Professor Dai Tianjing has brought an academic feast for the teachers and students of our college with simple and easy to understand language from a new and unique perspective. This lecture makes our teachers and students have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the case study method, brings a lot of inspiration and thinking to the teachers and students present, and also provides an important guidance for the exploration of case study in our college.
